NE1GHBORHOOD is more than a name. It’s a statement. For too long, people have been taught to say “hood” without thinking about what was lost in the process since the Crack Era. This piece is about reclaiming that meaning and signifying the collective consciousness we carry in heart & mind where ever we go across the earth from our NE1GHBORHOOD. It’s about remembering that a neighborhood is built on connection, identity, pride, and most importantly a sense of dignity.

The “1” stands for oneness. That oneness within self, family, neighborhood, and community. No matter where you are from across the earth, that connection lives in you, in us. That sense of pride & dignity for neighborhood that we carry with us where ever we go. This shirt represents the unity that goes beyond location.
